The spokesperson is one of the main tools within corporate, political and institutional communication, which consists of keeping the organization in communication with its internal and external audiences, so people are needed who know how to communicate the message clearly and effectively. These people are known as spokespersons
Spokespersons are people trained and prepared to be the ones who speak on behalf of a person or organization, they are responsible for addressing the different audiences that the organization may have.
The spokespersons must have a rigorous preparation, since they are the ones who will represent the organization before society in case of any circumstance and even more so in crisis situations.
A spokesperson must have the following characteristics.
In-depth knowledge of the issue and situation
Appear confident
Be brief, concise and precise
Repeat the message frequently
Be prepared for difficult questions
Not argue
Not lie
Dress appropriately for the circumstance
Be kind and close
The language should be easy to understand
